SITE ACQUISITION ADMINISTRATOR (TORONTO)

The Site Acquisition Administrator is responsible for the preparation of all documentation relating to telecommunication site acquisition including: access, statutory right of way agreements, easement agreements and consents; lease and license preparation; land use consultation documentation; project tracking and reporting. With a focus on accuracy and efficiency, this position may also prepare interest registrations against land titles as well as search and review titles for encumbrances and obtain and administer Crown dispositions when required. Qualifications include: a minimum 3 years of administrative experience in real estate, site acquisition, property management, or as a legal assistant; Diploma/Certificate from an accredited Land, Legal or Real Estate program - suitable equivalencies will be considered; experience with statutory rights of way, lease and/or license agreements; understanding of client service obligations and company commitments; experience in tracking milestones and preparing reports; advanced level of proficiency in MS Office 2007 including Excel, Word, and Outlook; proven ability to multi-task, prioritize work, and meet deadlines; attention to detail and focused on accuracy; self-directed and able to work independently with minimal supervision; and excellent verbal and written communication skills. Assets include: an understanding of the telecommunications industry and regulatory requirements; experience or knowledge in land use; experience with AutoCAD Lite and/or mapping software; and bilingual with excellent verbal and written communication skills in both French and English.

SITE ACQUISITION SPECIALIST (TORONTO)

The Site Acquisition Specialist is responsible for wireless site selection, agreement negotiation, preparation, and execution, assisting with municipal consultation and zoning activities and all coordination and reporting activities for assigned sites. In addition to negotiating urban and rural site acquisitions for telecommunications towers and/or space for equipment and antennas, this position will also negotiate all access, right of way, easement agreements and consents to facilitate infrastructure build out. The SAS will work closely with clients to find a land use solution that considers the technical challenges, aesthetic issues and practicality of infrastructure while ensuring regulatory compliance. Qualifications include: a minimum 3 years experience in site acquisition, commercial real estate, or property management; post-secondary degree/diploma in Commerce, Business, Urban Planning, Urban Land Economics, or a related discipline; demonstrated success in negotiation and conflict resolution ; strong reporting and communication skills; ability to review, create, and understand agreements and site plans; excellent organizational skills with a focus on accuracy; self-directed with sensitivity to timelines and issue resolution; ability to maintain confidentiality; valid driver’s license as extensive field travel may be required; and proficiency in Microsoft Office 2007 including Excel, Word, and Outlook. Assets include: Site Acquisition experience in a wireless telecom roll-out environment; understanding of the telecommunications industry and regulatory requirements; Land Agent License and/or graduation from an accredited Land program; experience with AutoCAD; GPS proficiency; and bilingual with excellent verbal and written communication in both English and French.

PAYROLL AND BENEFITS COORDINATOR (PART-TIME)

As a member of our Accounting group and reporting to the Accounting Supervisor, we are looking for a part-time, experienced payroll and benefits expert to complement our growing team. The position is accountable for all aspects of benefit and payroll input and processing and requires a strong focus on quality assurance, efficiency, and customer service while adhering to internal and external policies, procedures, and legislation. Primary areas of responsibility will include: compilation, verification, input, and processing of semi-monthly payroll for hourly, salaried, and contract employees; payroll and benefit related communication including issue resolution; update and maintenance of payroll, benefit, and other related company records; annual T4 slip preparation and distribution; employee absence tracking; accurate allocation of deductions; administration of benefits including enrollment, termination, and amendments; acting as the main point of contact for payroll and benefits related queries; WCB administration; report preparation; and general office administration as required. Qualifications include: Payroll Compliance Practitioner Certification (PCP) or equivalent; minimum of 5 years of experience in processing payroll with relevant experience in benefit administration; deadline driven with the demonstrated ability to accomplish multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment; strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills and the ability to independently establish priorities; excellent communication skills, both verbal and written; sensitivity to and understanding of confidentiality; customer service focused with the ability to resolve issues for both internal and external clients; ability to work both independently and as a team member; ability to resolve problems but seek guidance when appropriate; highly proficient in MS Office 2007 (Excel, Word, Outlook). COORDINATOR, LAND PROJECTS (CALGARY)

Reporting to the Manager, Land Acquisition, the Coordinator, Land Projects is responsible for the effective and efficient completion of all assigned land acquisition projects, ensuring deliverables are achieved while maintaining high level client and employee relations. This position will provide mentorship, guidance, direction, and support to Land Agents and work closely with the Surface Land Administration team in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. In addition, the Coordinator, Land Projects will be directly involved in acquisitions for projects of high complexity, will ensure internal and external reporting is completed as required, will foster existing business relationships, and continue to grow the business portfolio within the existing base by ensuring all commitments and obligations are met. Qualifications include: minimum of 5 years experience in land acquisition and/or project coordination; permanent Land Agent License; previous supervisory experience ; project coordination experience in oil and gas, energy or other land related areas; strong working knowledge of regulatory issues in Alberta; demonstrated success in negotiation and conflict resolution; strong reporting and communication skills; excellent organizational skills with a focus on accuracy; self-directed with sensitivity to timelines and issue resolution; ability to maintain confidentiality; eligibility to become a Commissioner for Oaths in AB/SK; valid driver’s license as occasional field travel may be required; and proficiency in Microsoft Office 2007 including Excel, Word, and Outlook. SURFACE LAND AGENT/FIELD AGENT (EDMONTON AREA)

Surface Land Agents are responsible for negotiation, acquisition and public consultation on assigned projects, ensuring high-level client, land owner, and employee relations are maintained at all times. This position will provide detailed reporting of land owner concerns including recommendations that balance land owner/stakeholder and client needs while meeting regulatory requirements. Additional responsibilities include: accurate and efficient reporting, documentation, and time entries; and visiting field sites to assess potential locations and/or damages and provide factual assessments and recommendations. Surface Land Agents must be adaptable and willing to apply their knowledge to all of Standard Land’s lines of business. Qualifications include: a minimum of 3 years experience as a Surface Land Agent; Permanent Land Agent License (or working towards); Commissioner for Oaths in Alberta and Saskatchewan; ability to review, interpret and understand agreements; strong working knowledge of surface related regulatory issues in the Province of Alberta; demonstrated success in negotiation and conflict resolution; strong reporting and communication skills; self-directed with sensitivity to timelines and issue resolution; excellent organizational skills with a focus on accuracy; proficiency in Microsoft Office 2007 including Excel, Word, and Outlook; the ability to maintain confidentiality; and a valid driver’s license. PROJECT MANAGER, POWER (CALGARY)

The Project Manager, Power manages and coordinates all aspects of assigned projects in the power domain including planning, execution, monitoring and control at every stage. In addition, the Project Manager, Power is responsible for quality assurance and completion of the projects on time, on budget, and according to the requirements of the client. This position is accountable for: understanding the full requirements of a project; project plan development including detailed cost estimation; establishing and tracking of project milestones; the daily assignment and coordination of work and responsibilities; mentoring and providing guidance on more difficult negotiations; monitoring, summarizing and communicating the progress of projects to internal and external stakeholders; acting as a senior level client relationship manager, ensuring difficult client engagements are resolved; assessment and resolution of problems; regulatory compliance, quality assurance and evaluation of deliverables; continuous process improvements; and ensuring client expectations are met and exceeded in terms of quality and service. Qualifications include: more than 10 years of experience in land acquisition and/or project coordination with preference given to those with direct experience in power projects; minimum of 5 years of experience in a Project Management and supervisory role in oil and gas, energy or another land related area; B Comm (PLMA), Urban Land Economics degree/diploma, Land Agent diploma, or other relevant post-secondary education; Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or equivalent; proven ability to successfully manage multiple projects and foster client relationships; excellent working knowledge of regulatory issues in Alberta; well-developed communication skills (verbal and written); ability to problem solve; demonstrated success in negotiation and conflict resolution; valid driver’s license as field travel may be required; proficiency in Microsoft Office 2007 including Excel, Word, and Outlook; and ability to maintain confidentiality.
